New Network Processor Routers (NPRs)

14 new routers based on IXP network processor technology will be coming on-line in time for the fall 2008 semester. We are also working on tutorial pages for these new routers. You can go to these tutorial pages by following the NPR Tutorial link, but versions posted prior to September 2008 are likely to be in very rough form and have missing or inconsistent content.

Major RLI Changes (March 2006)

There was a major change to the RLI interface in March 2006. Most of the tutorial pages have been updated with new screen shots to reflect the new RLI, but there are a few that have not. The main difference is that the newer RLI.jar file supports an RLI interface that does not require the user to "switch from configuration to monitoring mode"; i.e., there is no Mode menu item in the main menu. The monitoring menu items now coexist with the configuration menu items associated with each object. The new features are described in Summary Information => New RLI. Any Web pages with revision dates (in the bottom left corner) later than March 2006 should be up-to-date.
